State Police Respond To Motorcycle Accident Near Clarkstown

Close to midnight on Saturday night, August 24th, State Police responded to a call on I-87, near the town of Clarkstown, for an accident involving a motorcycle. 

A preliminary investigation found that a Nyack resident, Michael A. DiPierno, initially lost control of his motorcycle while driving at a high speed, crashed into the guardrail, and was then hit by another vehicle. He was announced dead on the scene.

An investigation is still ongoing.
