House Speaker to Visit Skver Rebbe Next Week

House Speaker Rep. Mike Johnson is expected to visit New Square next week following a fundraiser in Monsey.

The Speaker will visit the Skver’er Rebbe Shlit”a, ahead of a combative election in the neighborhood where Republican Congressman Mike Lawler is facing former Rep. Mondaire Jones.

The visit is reminiscent of a visit a year ago by former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy in an effort to seek support for Lawler in the 2022 midterm election.

Capitol Police is expected to visit the village today in advance of the high-profile visit of the Speaker.
