By Idy Perl

An accident at a Spring Valley commercial construction site prompted a large emergency response and rescue operation from multiple first response teams.

At around 11:30 Monday morning, a worker on a site located on Dykstras Way fell 20 feet and sustained serious injuries. Ramapo Police, Hatzolah, Faist EMS, and the Monsey Fire Department responded to the scene and extricated the worker through a specialized rescue operation. The victim was then transported to Westchester Hospital.

Only hours earlier another construction site incident took place at around 8:30am on a construction site in Chestnut Ridge, where a worker was injured as well.
