Water Under the Bridge - Push to Restore Tappan Zee Bridge to Former Glory of Original Name Fails

Legislation to change the name of the Mario M. Cuomo Bridge back to the Tappan Zee Bridge has failed. 

The push by Assemblyman John McGowan, as reported previously by Rockland Daily here, was rejected today in committee. This is the second time the push to revert back to the bridge's original name failed. 

McGowan blamed Democrats and party politics for the failure of his legislation.
