Village of New Square Issues snowstorm Notice

By Yisroel R.

The Village of New Square issued a notice ahead of the upcoming snowstorm, urging residents to cooperate with snow removal efforts and follow all parking and travel guidance during the storm.

Village officials reminded residents that street parking will not be permitted during the snowstorm, as parked vehicles prevent snowplows from clearing roads properly. Any vehicles left on village streets during the storm may be ticketed or towed, officials said.

The village also warned that the local Tremp bus service may be disrupted due to hazardous road conditions and snow removal operations. Temporary bus routes or stops may be changed, delayed, or suspended during the storm.

Residents who rely on buses are urged to check in advance whether buses are operating and running on time, and not to wait at bus stops without confirming service status. Those who need to travel are advised to plan ahead and make alternate arrangements if necessary.

Village officials thanked residents for their cooperation and urged everyone to stay off the roads unless absolutely necessary as the storm moves through the area.
