Construction of the new Fire Operation Building, as reported by Rockland Daily here, continues apace.

The building will have a four-story tower, multiple burn rooms, and more, allowing the County's volunteer firefighters to train for search and rescue, propelling from buildings, and many other firefighting operations.

The steel has been erected, which is now being followed by the floors and walls. Rockland firefighters are eagerly anticipating the Fire Operations Building which will provide Rockland firefighters with a training facility close to home, and which is expected to be complete by mid-winter.
