Original Article 4:58pm:

A Monseytrail bus was involved in an accident in Hewitt, NJ this afternoon while en route to a trip.

Three buses from Sharei Torah School in Flatbush were on their way to a boating trip in Greenwood Lake, Orange County, New York, when a tree fell on one of the buses, shattering windows and causing significant damage, particularly in the area where the girls were seated.

Initially, rumors spread quickly, causing alarm and concern. However, as more information became available, it was confirmed that while the incident resulted in injuries, the situation was not as dire as initially feared.

Two girls were reported as more severely injured in the accident and were transported via helicopter to the hospital. Many others required assistance for minor wounds and shock. Hatzalah members from multiple neighborhoods, including Monsey, New Square, and Kiryas Yoel, rushed to the scene to provide essential care to the girls.
