Suffern Volunteer Hose Co. #1 Conducts Vehicle Extrication Training

Firefighters from the Suffern Volunteer. Hose Company #1 and Suffern Hook and Ladder Company #1 conducted vehicle extrication training at the Rockland County Fire Training Center.
During the training, firefighters broke into two groups based on experience, beginner and intermediate, and trained on two cars at different skill levels. Newer firefighters learned the basics of vehicle extrication, including scene size up, vehicle stabilization, and familiarization with extrication tools. The more seasoned firefighters trained on more advanced techniques in a simulated two-car motor vehicle accident.
