Transformer Fire Shuts Down Multiple Traffic Lights On Route 59

A transformer on Route 59 and Ridge Ave went up in flames this morning and had catastrophic effects. 

The fire caused multiple traffic lights along Route 59 in Spring Valley to shut down. The lights at South Madison Avenue, North Main Street, and West Street were all flashing, causing morning traffic to build up as frustrated drivers attemped to navigate the mess. 

The transformer fire has already been put out and O&R is on the scene to resolve the issue. Expect delays in the area.
