Town of Ramapo Honors Late Civil Rights Advocate

The Town of Ramapo celebrated the life and times of Ms. Hazel N. Dukes, who passed away on March 1st, 2025, at the age of 92.

Ms. Dukes was a Civil Rights Advocate and the National President of the NAACP, as well as the president of the New York Chapter.

Supervisor Michael Specht, along with members of the NAACP and the community, paid tribute to Ms. Dukes this afternoon at the Town Hall 237 Rt. 59 , Suffern.
