Town of Ramapo Delivers Donations to Help Family Recover From Fire

By Yisroel R.

The Town of Ramapo community came together this week to support a local family affected by a recent house fire, following a grassroots fundraising effort that quickly grew across multiple town departments and community groups.

What began as an initiative by staff and teachers of the Suffern Central School District expanded with the support of Town Supervisor Michael Specht, the Ramapo Police Department, town employees, and community members.

This morning, Supervisor Specht and Ramapo Police Chief Danny Hyman delivered gift cards, checks, cash, and donated goods to the Suffern Central Family Resource Center, located at the high school. The donations will help the family as they work to recover and rebuild following the fire.

Town officials thanked everyone who contributed, highlighting the collective effort as an example of the Ramapo community coming together in a time of need.
