Town of Ramapo Announces Expanded Trash Pickup Schedule

By Y.M. Lowy

The Town of Ramapo has announced an update to its sanitation schedule, bringing expanded trash pickup services to unincorporated areas of the town. Supervisor Michael Specht shared the news this week, noting that garbage box collection will now take place twice a week, on Wednesdays and Fridays.

The updated schedule will be handled by Interstate / IWS Waste Services and is designed to improve efficiency and reduce congestion on local roads. To help avoid traffic delays, pickups will begin earlier than usual, and residents are asked to place their bins out by 5:00 a.m. on collection days.

Town officials emphasized that aside from the added pickup day and earlier start time, all other sanitation services will remain unchanged.
