Town of Clarkstown Launches Composting Program

Town of Clarkstown Launches Composting Program
By M.C. Millman

The Town of Clarkstown has launched a new Food Scrap Composting Program, which will be done in partnership with Rockland Green.

Clarkstown residents will now be able to compost food scraps through the Town's new program. According to the Town, the resulting compost made from food scraps that would otherwise go to waste will instead become a valuable material that can help reduce pollution and improve the overall quality of life.
Clarkstown residents can pick up free composting bins at Town Hall or Clarkstown Highway Department.
