The Town of Clarkstown broke ground today, Tuesday, on a new 10,000-square-foot all-inclusive playground at Lake Nanuet, which will provide children of all abilities with a place to play and enjoy outdoor activities.
The new playground will feature accessible equipment designed to accommodate children with different abilities, allowing more families to enjoy the park together.
Congressman Mike Lawler attended and spoke at the event, joining Clarkstown Supervisor George Hoehmann, members of the Town Board, elected officials, and local residents for the groundbreaking ceremony at 1 Lake Nanuet Drive in Nanuet.
The project marks another investment in Clarkstown’s recreational facilities, with a focus on making public playgrounds more accessible and welcoming to all children and families.
Once completed, the playground will offer a new recreational space for local families, providing children of all abilities with opportunities to play, interact, and enjoy time outdoors.
