Tilcon New York Awarded an Additional $100,000 to for Road Re-Surfacing After July Storms Damage Roads

by Rockland Daily Staff

After Tilcon New York Inc. won a bid in May of last year, as previously reported by Rockland Daily here, to provide Rockland County with $ 250,000 with concrete and bituminous materials for county road surfaces, an additional $100,000 was approved last week.

The additional funds will pay for added materials needed to repair and replace County roads that were damaged from unprecedented rainstorms in July.

Tilcon New York will provide the County Highway Dept. with concrete material needed for the project, bringing the total contract amount to $350,000.

Rockland County Executive Ed Day and Rockland Superintendent of Highways Charles "Skip" Vezzetti signed the agreement for the additional funding last week.
