Thruway Asks Drivers for Input on Future Fueling Services
By Y.M. Lowy
The New York State Thruway Authority is asking drivers to help shape the future of fueling at its 27 service areas. With current fuel contracts set to expire in 2027, the Authority has launched a survey to gather public feedback before preparing a new contract in 2026.
The survey, open through the end of September at ThruwayFuel.com, asks about visit frequency, vehicle type, fueling preferences, and suggestions for improvement.
Responses will help guide the next fuel services contract. The survey takes less than five minutes to complete.
The announcement comes as the Thruway Authority nears the end of its Service Area Redesign and Redevelopment Project, a $450 million public-private partnership that has upgraded all 27 service areas. The final location is set to reopen by the end of 2025, and no toll or tax dollars were used for construction.
