Congressman Mike Lawler Celebrates 5,000 Passport Applications at Kaser Village Facility

By Akivah W.

Congressman Mike Lawler is celebrating a major milestone at the Kaser Village Passport Acceptance Facility, which has processed more than 5,000 passport applications since its opening in 2024, as reported back then on Rockland Daily.

The facility was established to meet the growing demand for passport services in the community and has quickly become one of the busiest and most valuable resources for residents. Its convenient location has been especially important for those who do not drive, allowing them to access essential services closer to home.

“We knew this service was important, but the overwhelming number of applications on a daily basis showed us the need was even greater than expected,” said Binyamin Mermelstein, Clerk Treasurer of Kaser Village, in a statement to Rockland Daily, “The County’s offices are doing an exceptional job, and we are grateful to be their partner in bringing these services closer to home for our residents and families. We are thankful to have reached this milestone and look forward to continuing our partnership with the County to provide services in the most convenient way possible.”

Congressman Lawler praised the success of the facility, calling it a significant contribution to the community and a testament to the importance of bringing government services directly to the people.
