Thiells Fire District Holds Groundbreaking Ceremony For New Fire Station

By Idy Perl

Yesterday, the Thiells Roseville Fire District held a groundbreaking ceremony at the newly acquired site for the construction of their new main station, Station 26-100.

A loan for the $24 million project was approved a year ago following a public vote, which allowed for the purchase of a 4-acre property on Route 202, down the road from their current station.

Construction for the new state-of-the-art, 23,000 foot station is scheduled to begin in June, and is expected to be completed in October of 2026.
