Spring Valley Police Arrest Suspect In Connection To Memorial Park Drive Fire

An 18-year-old teenager from Spring Valley has been arrested in connection to the Memorial Park Drive structure fire that broke out on February 13 in a building that is under construction.
On February 17th, after a comprehensive investigation, the Spring Valley Police Department arrested Spring Valley resident, Carlos De LeonCordero, for setting the fire. He was charged with Arson in the fourth degree, arraigned before the Honorable Judge Sweet, and then released on his own recognizance.
The same suspect had previously been arrested by the Spring Valley Police Department less than a month earlier, in January, for setting a fire in an abandoned building at 103 North Madison Avenue, just a few blocks away from this most recent fire at Memorial Park Drive.
