Sidewalk Project Planned for Pinebrook Road in Chestnut Ridge

New sidewalks are expected to be added along Pinebrook Road in Chestnut Ridge as part of a federally funded safety improvement project that is now moving toward construction.

Chestnut Ridge Deputy Mayor Chaim Rose and Village Trustee Shmuli Fromovitz recently met on Pinebrook Road with engineers from the Town of Ramapo and project contractors to review the upcoming sidewalk installation plans.

The project is being funded through $1 million in federal funding secured by Mike Lawler. The funding will be administered through the Town of Ramapo.

According to the village, construction preparations are already underway, with additional timing and project details expected to be shared on RocklandDaily with residents once finalized.
