Rockland Resident Among the Handful of Frum Jews on Biden’s Clemency List

By Y.M. Lowy
This year, as President Joe Biden announced his latest round of clemency actions, a small group of frum Jews were included among the recipients of pardon and commutation grants, thanks to the efforts of the Tzedek Association.
Select frum individuals had their cases reviewed and were granted clemency, a decision that brought relief to them and their families.
These clemency actions are part of a broader effort to address justice system concerns, with some individuals benefiting from reduced sentences or the lifting of certain restrictions, such as those related to house arrest during the COVID-19 pandemic.
This year’s clemency decisions offer a second chance to many individuals, emphasizing the opportunity for growth even after setbacks.
