Rockland Hatzoloh to Build New Major Three-Floor Headquarters on Grove Street
Yisroel R.
Hatzoloh of Rockland is preparing to begin construction in the coming months on a new three-floor garage on Grove Street, replacing its current facility with a significantly larger and more advanced headquarters.
In a conversation with Rockland Daily, coordinator and chairman Abie Rosenberg outlined the plans for the upgraded structure, which will become the organization’s main base of operations in Rockland County. The first floor will house an expanded fleet, with six ambulances ready at all times, allowing for faster and more efficient emergency response.
A major advantage of the Grove Street location is its proximity to a secured access point on Saddle River Road, right after the Thruway overpass. The gated entrance, typically restricted to authorized officials, is accessible to Hatzoloh and provides a direct route onto the highway, enabling emergency vehicles to bypass Route 59 traffic and quickly access major roadways across the county.
The second floor will include training areas, offices for instructors, and space to accommodate the Shabbos members. It will also house the organization’s central dispatch center, where calls from across Rockland County will be managed and coordinated.
Construction is expected to begin within the next few months and be completed within about a year. In the interim, Hatzoloh is exploring the possibility of placing temporary trailers on a property across the street, pending approval from the current owners, Hachnasas Urchim.
