Rockland County Mourns Passing Of Former Tappan Fire Chief

Rockland County is mourning the loss of a local firefighter, Freddie Simms, who passed away peacefully in his home in Tappan. 

Simms served as a Deputy Fire Coordinator, and was a former chief with the Tappan Fire Department. He was also a beloved instructor at the Rockland County Fire and Emergency Services, and was a Captain with the FDNY. 

Simms passed away at just 49 years old, and leaves behind his wife.
