Rockland County Citizen Class Sees Strong Turnout

By Y.M. Lowy
Last night, Rockland County’s Emergency Management Division, working with the New York State Department of Homeland Security, held a Citizen Preparedness Class at the Fire Training Center. The event saw an impressive turnout from residents eager to learn how to prepare for emergencies.
The class focused on Rockland County-specific safety tips, ways to stay informed during crises, and practical advice for homeowners. Every family attending received a preparedness knapsack to help build their own emergency kit at home.
Due to high demand, another class is planned for December 2025. Rockland Daily will post any updates.
