Reminder Not to Leave Vehicles on the Road When Snow is Expected

The Village of New Hempstead and the Village of West Haverstraw remind residents that, in the event of the forecast calling for snow accumulation, all vehicles must be moved off of the streets for the entire snow period regardless of the time of day.

The Villages will notify residents via their websites regarding the parking situation, although it is always the residents' responsibility to be aware of the weather forecast and remove all vehicles from roadways if the accumulation of two or more inches is in the forecast.

During Snow Emergencies, vehicles on any Village of New Hempstead or Village of West Haverstraw street will be subject to ticketing or even towing.
