Ramapo Taxi Enforcement Nets 14 Violations During Morning Operation
By Rockland Daily Staff
The Town of Ramapo’s Traffic Safety Unit (TSU) conducted an enforcement operation Tuesday morning targeting compliance with the town’s taxi licensing law, resulting in 14 taxicabs being cited for violations.
Officials said the operation focused on ensuring that taxi and livery vehicles picking up passengers within Ramapo are properly licensed by the town.
Under local regulations, all taxi and livery vehicles operating in Ramapo must be licensed by the town and display an official Ramapo Taxi Sticker.
Authorities reminded drivers that operating without the required town license is a violation of local law.
Drivers with questions about taxi licensing requirements can contact the Town of Ramapo at 845-357-5100 ext. 440 or by email at [email protected]
