Ramapo Releases 2026 Taxi Safety Stickers as Riders Are Urged to Check for New Yellow Sticker

By Yisroel R.

The Ramapo Taxi & Limousine Commission has issued a new safety reminder for all residents who rely on local taxis, announcing the release of the updated 2026 Commission Sticker. Riders are urged to check for the new yellow sticker before entering any taxi operating in the Town of Ramapo.

According to the Commission, every licensed taxi must display the new 2026 permit sticker on the front windshield, the rear window, and on each passenger-side window inside the vehicle. The Commission updates the sticker color annually to help riders quickly identify properly licensed taxis; the 2026 sticker is yellow.

Officials advise passengers to take note of the permit number printed on the sticker inside the vehicle. This number should be used if riders have concerns, complaints, or need to report an issue to the Ramapo Taxi Commission.

Town officials say the purpose of the updated sticker system is to protect riders, prevent unlicensed taxis from operating, and ensure that every vehicle on the road meets local safety and licensing standards.

For any questions or concerns, residents can contact the Ramapo Taxi Commission at 845-357-5100 ext. 440 or email [email protected].
