By Rockland Daily Staff
This week marked 28 years since Tuxedo Park Police Officer Jason D. Conklin was tragically killed in the line of duty. The Ramapo Police Department paused to remember his dedication, bravery, and sacrifice.
Officer Conklin lost his life in a crash on duty while attempting to stop a speeding vehicle. His patrol SUV veered off the road as he pursued the car from a radar checkpoint, and he was ejected from the vehicle. He had only been serving with the Tuxedo Park Police Department for two months at the time of the tragedy.
“We pause today to remember his service and sacrifice. May Jason continue to Rest In Peace.” Ramapo Police said in their remembrance.
The department concluded their remembrance with the message: “#neverforget 🙏.”
