Ramapo Police Participates In Governor's Traffic Safety Enforcement Campaign

The Ramapo Police Department is participating in the Governor's Traffic Safety Committee’s high-visibility enforcement campaign aimed at combating distracted driving. This initiative, supported by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, runs from April 7th through April 14th.

This year’s campaign, themed “Put the Phone Away or Pay,” is a reminder to all drivers that distracted driving is not only dangerous-it’s illegal. Officers will be out in force, focusing on identifying and stopping distracted drivers in an effort to prevent crashes, injuries, and fatalities caused by inattention behind the wheel.
