Ramapo Police Department Together with Local Jewish EMTs Save a Life

Ramapo Police Department applauded the great teamwork
between RPD and local volunteer EMTs after a life was saved this Sunday night.
A call came in of a female who had difficulty breathing to which RPD and Spring Hill Ambulance members both responded.
The situation turned from bad to worse when the patient completely stopped breathing.
CPR was administered by a family member who was guided by a Ramapo Police dispatcher over the phone until first responders arrived to the scene.
EMS persistently continued with lifesaving interventions when one quick-thinking EMT, Hershel Glick, recognized the root of the issue which ultimately saved the patient’s life.
Among the selfless first responders at the scene were Lt Posen, Victor Wolf, and Captain Ungar.
The patient was fully conscious and speaking ten minutes after the initial call was made thanks to the amazing teamwork.
