Ramapo Police Arrest Suspect in Series of Vehicle Larcenies in Airmont

By Rockland Daily Staff

Over the past few weeks, Ramapo Police detectives have been investigating a string of larcenies targeting parked vehicles, primarily in the Airmont area. Following thorough investigations, police identified suspects and made an arrest last night.

The suspect, a 29-year-old, has been charged with multiple offenses, including Grand Larceny for stolen cash and credit cards, Petit Larceny for other stolen items, and Identity Theft. In total, eleven appearance tickets were issued—ten for Airmont Court and one for Clarkstown Court, as the stolen credit card was used in Clarkstown.

Police assured the community that protecting residents' property remains a top priority. “Your Ramapo officers and detectives are committed to safeguarding your rights and holding offenders accountable,” they stated.

While the suspect was released on appearance tickets in accordance with standard protocol for the ‘E’ Felonies and Misdemeanors involved, authorities emphasized their commitment to investigating quality-of-life crimes and ensuring offenders are prosecuted when evidence is sufficient.
