Rachmistrivka Rebbe of Spring Valley Mourns Kossover Rebbe’s Passing With Yeshiva Buchirim

A heart wrenching scene took place in Yeshivas Eitz Hachaim in Monsey after the petirah of the Kossover Rebbe.

The Kossove Rebbe had been the Nasi of the yeshivah for many years and the bochurim developed a close relationship with him. His petirah sent shockwaves through the yeshivah as students tried to grapple with the immense loss. 

After the Rebbe’s levaya on Sunday the Rachmistrivke Rebbe of Spring Valley stopped by the yeshivah and sat the boys down on the ground before sitting down with them as a sign of aveilas. The Rebbe read the last chapter of Megilas Eichah together with the boys, and then spoke about the Kossover Rebbe zt"l and what the loss means for the yeshiva students. The Rebbe encouraged the boys to express their emotions and mourn the Kossover Rebbe. 

The Rebbe then davened an emotional minchah with the bochurim as they stormed the heavens for rachamim.
