Power Restored Overnight After Montebello Outage

Power was restored around 12:30 a.m. Thursday to residents on Heather Hill Lane near Robinhood Road in Montebello after Orange & Rockland Utilities crews completed overnight repairs following a power outage.

As reported yesterday on Rockland Daily, the outage was caused by a fallen tree that brought down utility wires along Heather Hill Lane, leaving multiple homes without electricity for much of the day Wednesday. Orange & Rockland crews worked for several hours repairing the downed lines and related infrastructure before service was fully restored overnight.

During the outage, members of Chaveirim assisted affected residents by distributing generators to homes that were without power.

Local residents thanked State Senator Bill Weber and Montebello Deputy Mayor Stacy Caridi for their swift response in reaching out to Orange & Rockland Utilities and remaining engaged throughout the repair process, even on this holiday eve.
