Photo Gallery: Rabbanim and Thousands of Monsey Residents at the Historic Motzoh Tov Event

Thousands packed into Rockland Community College for the “Motzoh Tov” last night, a first-of-its-kind gathering meant to bring some common sense back to the way weddings are done in the frum world.
Rabbanim and Admorim from across Monsey stood, relaying one strong, clear message: weddings don’t need to break the bank. The pressure to spend beyond what’s possible just because others do it is getting out of hand and it’s time to change that.
A new system was rolled out at the event, including a fund that lets families borrow up to $25,000 for wedding expenses, with manageable and easy payment terms. And they didn’t stop there. Organizers also announced the “Wedding Mall” a central spot where families can get everything they need, from gowns and invitations to catering and décor, all at much lower prices.
Many are hoping this becomes a model for other communities too. What started as an idea might now be the beginning of a more dignified way to celebrate simchos.
