Pedestrian Killed By Train In Nanuet

On Wednesday afternoon, a horrific tragedy occured near the Nanuet train station on Prospect Street. 

A pedestrian was reportedly hit by an incoming train close to the station, and was declared dead when first response teams arrived at the scene. 

Nanuet EMS, Clarkstown Police and Rockland Paramedics are currently on the scene, and Prospect Street is closed in both directions while the scene is cleared and an investigation is launched. MTA officials announced that the Pascack Valley Line will be delayed as a result of the accident.
