Overnight Construction On George Washington Bridge Causes Rush Hour Delays

By Idy Perl
Commuters on the George Washington Bridge faced major delays
this morning.
Overnight construction has been taking place on the bridge for several months now, but equipment malfunctions caused a delay this morning. Three lanes to the toll plaza were still closed during the beginning of rush hour this morning, causing traffic to back up on the I-95, Rt. 46 and Rt. 4.
All lanes have by now been opened, but many commuters experiences delays of up to an hour.
