Nyack Water Department Servicing Water Mains Throughout the Village

All consumers served by the Village of Nyack Water Department will be vulnerable to a temporary water pressure reduction over the next ten days.

The Village of Nyack Water Department began flushing water mains throughout the entire water distribution system on Tuesday morning for residents of West Nyack. The work within West Nyack will continue through today.

Central Nyack will have their water flushed today and tomorrow.

Area West of Route 9W in South Nyack will be serviced on Friday, October 13.

Nyack will see their water flushed on Monday, October 16, Tuesday, October 17, and Wednesday, October 18.

South Nyack will have their water flushed on Wednesday, October 18, Thursday, October 19, and Friday, October 20.

Flushing on all days will take place between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.

As a result of the flushing, residents' water might be temporarily discolored, and there might be a temporary reduction in water pressure. 

Dirty or cloudy water can be resolved by opening cold water faucets and letting the water run clear.
