NJ TRANSIT Upgrading Power System This Weekend; Spring Valley Station Impacted
NJ TRANSIT is making improvements to its power system at the Rail Operations Center, which will affect some early morning trains on January 24. The upgrades are part of ongoing efforts to improve reliability across the system.
Trains scheduled to operate before 7:00 AM on the Main-Bergen-Port Jervis and Pascack Valley Lines will not run that day. Passengers traveling later in the morning or on other lines, including the Northeast Corridor, will not be affected.
Some of the trains impacted include the Pascack Valley Line and the Main-Bergen-Port Jervis Line.
Additionally, the 12:39 AM Hoboken departure to Port Jervis (Train 41), the last train for Friday’s service day, will operate only to Suffern. Passengers continuing beyond Suffern must transfer to buses at the Route 17 Station.
The upgrades are expected to improve the overall reliability and performance of NJ TRANSIT trains, helping ensure smoother service for passengers in the weeks ahead.
