The New York State police arrested Robert Rodriguez, age 36, from Stony Point, for murder last Friday.
Rodriguez is wanted in connection with a murder that took place on February 16, 2021, when, at approximately 2 a.m., emergency personnel responded to reports of an incident on the Palisades Interstate Parkway. Upon arrival, they found a burning 2021 Hyundai Sonata. The car was parked southbound near exit 16 in Stony Point. Bronx resident Ronald Mann was found dead in the car. It was later ascertained that Mann had been shot as well as burned, and his death was ruled a homicide.
An extensive investigation led to the arrest of Robert Rodriguez three years later. Rodriguez was arraigned in the Town of Stony Point Justice Court and jailed without bail.
