New Hempstead Women from Eight Shuls Hold Achdus Tehillim Gathering
by M.C. Millman
Last night, the New Hempstead community held a Tehillim gathering attended by women and girls of all ages from eight different local shuls.
The gathering was hosted by Knesses Yisroel on Union Road. Rebbetzin Devorah Schabes addressed the crowd, offering chizuk and insight during these trying times.
During the course of the evening, the entire Sefer Tehillim was completed twelve times within 25 minutes by the nearly 130 women in attendance.
"It was great to see so many women turn out," shares an attendee.
"So much effort went into getting this organized, and Hashem helped that it was beyond," another attendee enthusiastically shared. "It was so beautiful, so tasteful, so much Tehillim said! It should serve as a zechus that we should see the geulah b'karov."
The evening was arranged as a zechus for yeshuos for Klal Yisroel.
"The evening was such an amazing success," says Miriam Adelman, who organized the evening. "I got such amazing feedback! I want all community Rebbetzins to know that they can accomplish the same thing in their community, so I put together a flyer with instructions that they can use to create their own Tehillim event."
