Nearly 1000 Already Joined Petition To Demand Refund For East Ramapo School District Tax Hike

The East Ramapo School District has seen a lot of turmoil in the last few months, and now its time to make things right. 

Back in November the East Ramapo School District was thrown into a frenzy when a $30 million surplus was found in the budget after Commissioner Rosa forced the board to pass a 4.38% tax hike. 

Earlier this week a new report showed that the surplus might actually be up to $100 million. Officials right away called for residents to receive a refund from the tax hike, but nothing has come of it so far. 

The Rockland Jewish Alliance has now launched a petition for residents to receive their refund from the unfair East Ramapo School District tax hike. To sign the petition visit: https://chng.it/mqDkJKLcxr
