National Weather Service Shares How Rockland Measured Up Post-Storm

Over the past twenty-four hours, Rockland County towns and villages received anywhere from 2 inches to nearly five inches of rain, with localized spots receiving amounts approaching six inches, according to the National Weather Service.

Spring Valley received 4.85 inches of rain, Suffern 4.57, Montebello 4.24, Stony Point 4.18, New City 4.07, New Hempstead 3.85, Haverstraw 3.31Blauvelt, 3.03, Bardonia 2.72 and Nanuet the least at 2.15.

Orange and Rockland has issued a statement informing those who are still without power that they expect power to be restored to 95% of the customers affected by the storm by 1:00 p.m. tomorrow afternoon, and all customers should have service restored by 11 p.m. tomorrow night.
