National Prescription Drug Take Back Day This Saturday in NYACK
The Rockland County Sheriff’s Office is partnering with the DEA for National Prescription Drug Take Back Day on Saturday, October 25, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Walgreens, 16 Route 59, Nyack, NY.
This nationwide initiative provides residents with a safe, convenient, and responsible way to dispose of unused or expired prescription medications. The program also aims to raise awareness about the potential dangers of medication misuse and abuse.
Community members are encouraged to bring their medications for safe disposal no questions asked. This effort helps prevent prescription drugs from ending up in the wrong hands or harming the environment.
Additional collection sites throughout Rockland County include CVS Pharmacy in New City, Walgreens in Stony Point, Walmart in Suffern, and the Piermont and Orangetown Police Departments.
For more information about local drop-off locations, visit the Rockland County Sheriff’s Office or DEA Take Back Day website.
