Nanuet Residents Arrested For Illegal Activity And Child Endangerment

By Idy Perl

Earlier this week the Clarkstown Police Department's Street Crime Unit successfully concluded an undercover investigation at a residence in Nanuet.

The investigation began after local neighbors reported concerns about criminal activity at the house, and the safety of young children living with the adults in the house. Officers from the Street Crime Unit infiltrated online platforms that the criminals were using and conducted surveillance to identify the individuals participating in the illegal activity.

After lots of undercover work, two adults, Negri Sanz Del Orbe, 42, and Luis Mendez-Valdez, 31, were apprehended and charged with multiple felonies and misdemeanors, including child endangerment of several children who were found in the residence. The children were transported to the hospital for observation and treatment, and an investigation was launched by Child Protective Services.
