Monsey Resident Launches New Tool “SaveMyStreet” to Help Report Potholes and Road Issues
By Y.M. Lowy
A Monsey residents has launched a new app to tackle a problem many drivers complain about but rarely report: potholes and damaged roads.
The new platform, called SaveMyStreet, was created by heimish locals as a simple way for people to report road conditions directly to their town or city.
The website allows users to submit a report in seconds. No account or login is required, and the system automatically captures the user’s GPS location. Once submitted, the report is emailed directly to the appropriate municipal department.
The goal in creating this was to make reporting as simple as possible so that more residents will take a moment to report problems rather than just complain about them.
The more residents report road issues, the more likely towns will be able to address them quickly and keep local streets in better condition.
The platform is currently available at SaveMyStreet, where users can also download the Android app. An iOS version is expected to be released soon.
