Metro-North Wraps Its Own Present to Celebrate 40 Years

To celebrate 40 years of railroad service, Metro-North has retro-wrapped two of its locomotives as part of its Heritage Series.
The locomotives made their debut Monday morning on the Hudson Vally line.
The blue and yellow design is in the classic colors of the line's predecessor railroad, Conrail, and dates back to the older FL9 locomotives that ran east of the Hudson between 1976 and 1982.
More specially wrapped locomotives in the Heritage Series done in colors and designs matching other predecessor railroads are planned for later this year.
