Lane Closures May Cause Traffic Delays, Especially on the George Washington Bridge

By Y.M. Lowy

Traffic entering and exiting New York City may be affected this week due to lane closures, according to the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.

These closures will impact the George Washington, Bayonne, and Goethals bridges, as well as the Holland and Lincoln tunnels, and the Outerbridge Crossing.

In particularly, the George Washington Bridge will see several lane closures on both the upper and lower levels, along with connecting ramps, primarily between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday. Key closures include lanes on the Trans-Manhattan Expressway, Henry Hudson Parkway ramps, and approaches to the bridge, with brief traffic holds also expected on Tuesday and Thursday.
