Jewish Federation Of Rockland Hosts October 7th Commemoration Event

Last night the Jewish Foundation and Federation of Rockland County held a commemoration event for October 7th in Clover Stadium . Many local residents and politicians were in attendance to show their support for Israel and memorialize the many lives lost on this day last year.
Several politicians and Jewish leaders spoke at the event, including the CEO of the Jewish Foundation and Federation of Rockland Ari Rosenblum, CEO of JCC Rockland David Kirschtel, Rabbi Ariel Russo of Cong. Sons of Israel in Nyack, Executive Director of Nevut Lone Soldier Veterans Rabbi Ari Abramowitz, Avrumy Jordan of United Hatzoloh, Congressman Mike Lawler, Town Supervisor Michael Specht, and more.
The tefillah for the safety of the chayalim was recited, and the recently released video of Shulem Lemmer singing "October Rain" was shown, followed by a message of unity and hope from Shulem.
"The purpose of the event was unity and achdus," CEO Ari Rosenblum tells Rockland Daily. "We are one people, we are responsible for each other, and we are strong when we are together."
