This weekend two gun buyback events will be held in Rockland County, at which residents can safely and anonymously turn in shotguns, rifles, and handguns in exchange for prepaid gift cards, no questions asked, no I.D. required. 

The first event will take place tomorrow, June 5th, at St. Joseph’s Church located at 245 N. Main St., Spring Valley. The event, which is in partnership with the Rockland County Sheriff’s Office, the Village of Spring Valley Police Departmen, and the NYS Police in cooperation with the Rockland County District Attorney’s Office, will take place between 3 to 7 pm. Payments range from $25-$250 depending on the weapon being turned in. 

On Saturday, June 7th, another buyback event from the Rockland County District Attorney’s Office and the Town of Haverstraw Police Department will take place at the Haverstraw Village Hall located at 40 New Main St in Haverstraw, from 12-4pm. Payments range from $25-$500.
