Free Radon Testing in Rockland During Radon Action Month

In honor of Radon Action Month, Rockland County's  Healthy Neighborhoods Program is offering Rockland Residents free radon testing. 

Radon, which is an invisible, odorless radioactive gas can be found in all types of homes and buildings. The average person receives more radiation from radon than from all other natural or man-made sources combined. Over the years, the accumulated radiation exposure of homeowners may exceed the exposure of uranium miners. Radon is the second cause of lung cancer in the United States
